Any idea on how this is supposed to work? When the datepicker is shown, pressing 'spacebar' does not work to populate 'Today's value' in the date field. Is there a sample/demo for how this works? I...

Okay, we will do that for now. If you agree that changing the root node's look would be beneficial to everyone, can you please move this to bug and add it to ext-all.css? We will then use that later...

Just to be sure...how many characters are you typing before you give up autocomplete is not working? If you typed less than 4, it may not trigger autocomplete. Check 'minChars' config option.
