How can i get a extjs button to communicate with servlet ?

I need to create a folder on the server on the click of a button.. I am thinking of passing the ctrl to servlet and then from servlet to server(UCM).. How can i achieve it..? Is there any alternate method to achieve this..

    Your solution is indeed correct.

In Ext JS you have to do an Ext.Ajax.request() to the servlet (and how you program your servlet is up to you).

Use button's handler function, then make a Ajax request with setting your servlet's url to the 'url' config of Ajax request.
