Debugging your code: what's the best way?

Can't really use Firebug anymore, 'cause Firefox isn't a Webkit browser. So far I've been using Google Chrome's developer tools. Is there a better way?

We have been using Chrome's and Safari's developer tools. As far as we know there is nothing better atm.

How do they compare with firebug or chrome's developer tools?

EDIT: looks like chrome's developer tools, which are pretty slick!

Yeah, its pretty comparable, although I still prefer Firebug in some cases. They are rapidly improving though.

you can use firebug lite on chrome, it's an extension that you can get in the google chrome extensions website
the only problem is that it doesn't seem to work on local files (starting with file:///), you have to use a local webserver and access you files with http://localhost/ ....
firebug lite works almost like firefox firebug

I think my biggest gripe with the Chrome tools (I've dumped firebug for the most part) is that you can't clear the net tab, console, etc.

Just installed Firebug Lite for Chrome. It does pretty good job. Get it here: http://getfirebug.com/releases/lite/chrome/
