    Default fieldset with scroll bars

    fieldset with scroll bars

    Hello,

    I'd expect the code below to generate scroll bars on fieldset once the textarea is bigger than the window size. Can someone explain me why it does not?

    Code:
    <html>
    	<head>
    		<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="ext-3.2.1/resources/css/ext-all.css"/>
        	<script type="text/javascript" src="ext-3.2.1/adapter/ext/ext-base.js"></script>
    		<script src="ext-3.2.1/ext-all-debug.js"> </script>
    		<script>
    			Ext.onReady(function(){

    				new Ext.Viewport({
    					layout:'fit',
    					items: [{
    						xtype: 'form',
    						items: [{
    							xtype:'tabpanel',
    							activeTab: 0,
    							items: [{
    								title: 'tab1',
    								bodyStyle: 'background-color:red',
    								items: [{
    									xtype:'fieldset',
    									border: true,
    									autoScroll: true,
    									items: [{
    										xtype: 'textarea',
    										width: 2048,
    										height: 800
    									}]
    								}]
    							}]
    						}]
    					}]
    				});

    			});
    		</script>
    	</head>
    	<body>
    	</body>
    </html>

    It's because the fieldset has no defined height. You forgot to make 'tab1' layout:'fit'.

    The xtype: 'form' needs to be layout: 'fit' too to ensure that the TabPanel itself has an explicit size.
