    Scrollbars should work if your components are sized correctly.

    I assume you misconfigured your layout. Can you post your current layout code?

    Question the code of scrollbar

    the code of scrollbar

    i did like this.....

    var contentPanel = new Ext.TabPanel({
    region: 'center',
    deferredRender:false,
    activeTab: 0,
    // resizeEl: 'canvas-content',
    autoScroll:true,
    fitToFrame:true,
    autoHeight: false,

    items:[
    top,
    tab2,
    tab3,
    tab4
    ]
    });

    var viewport = new Ext.Viewport({
    layout : 'border',
    border: false,
    items:[titleBar, menuPanel, footerpanel, contentPanel]
    });
    viewport.doLayout();

    ......................
    what else should i do to change the size of scrollbar and to get that in IE
    and how to disable horizontal scrollbar...
    also the window resizing will not effect the panel(including screen resolution)...

    1. Remove these options from the tabpanel:
    Code:
    autoScroll:true,
    fitToFrame:true,
    autoHeight: false,
    2. What are top, tab2, tab3 and tab4? Note: 'top' is already in use in javascript - choose a different name.
    3. You do not need to call viewport.doLayout() is your layout is configured correctly.

    What do you mean by "set only the vertical scrollbar to the view port"?

    That is a strange request. Wouldn't you rather make the panel less wide, so a horizontal scrolbar isn't needed?
