Installing Issue: OS X 10.5.8 / Ext_Designer_1.0.2.dmg

After downloading the dmg file in both firefox & safari, i am unable to install the designer.

I receive the following warning:
The disk image you are opening may be damaged and could damage your system.

it follows up with the warning:
The following disk images failed to mount
Image: Ext_Designer_1.0.2.dmg
Reason: no mountable file systems.

is the error w/ the dmg, or on my end?

Can you tell me the output of this command in Terminal:

md5 -r Ext_Designer_1.0.2.dmg

I am getting the following:

87fe82f74c68b4282f23a2ffc06ae71c Ext_Designer_1.0.2.dmg

full disclosure, i'm doing a SoftRAID rebuild on an external that is out of sync. i have no idea if that makes a difference...

fyi, after unmounting the external i rebooted the machine and the install still threw the same error
