    Default Touch & Web Service

    Touch & Web Service

    Can anyone give me an simple example of Touch combined with Web Service?

    Can you use XMLReader and XMLWriter with Web Services? The only examples of XMLReaders I have come across, use as URL an XML file. Is it possible to use a Var as URL, with in the Var the xml you get from Web Service?

    Is is possible to use the XMLReader and XMLWriter not on files, but on variables? I am working with web services which (hopefully) will be on the same domain as my app (so no cross domain issues). And I would like to use XMLWriter to compose XML formatted messages to the web services, and receive simulair messages.

    Is this possible? And if the answer is yes, does anyone have an example of this?

    You can already parse XML natively in the browser. All the XmlWriter does is construct an XML block out of a bunch of records, so if you need it in a specific format you can do that.

    But can you use the XMLReader to read a string (like the one below) and fill a store with it?
    Example:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <orderlist>
    <order>
    <orderid>2005048</orderid>
    </order>
    <order>
    <orderid>3000359</orderid>
    </order>
    </orderlist>
