Hi guys, is there any reason why background images for buttons need to be set with the !important flag?

I refer to the following pending bug report in http://bugs.typo3.org http://bugs.typo3.org/view.php?id=15680#bugnotes TYPO3 has a spritemanager, which will work with extjs if some lines in the css are commented (see the link above for details and an idea of a patch).

I assume this is done for historical reasons, i read, that !important will be deprecated with CSS3. Therefore it would be perfect, if this problem can be solved.

I found similar problems regarding sprites in the premium forum.
