So I've run into a bit of an issue. I'm trying to find a way to assign a display value to a combobox. Like if someone clicks a button, I want the combobox to change what it's showing, even if someone already picked from it.
The only problem is that the combobox is sitting within a toolbar so I'm not sure how I can call on it's functions.
I was thinking of using something like the setValue() function for combobox but since it's residing in the toolbar, I'm confused as to how I would manage this from a function outside the toolbar. Does anybody have any examples using setValue() as well? thanks!

  var toolbar = new Ext.Toolbar({
        items: [{
            xtype: 'button', // include button
            text: 'Include Elements',
            handler: function(){
            iconCls: 'add',
            tooltip: {
                text: 'Include from available list of stuff '
        }, {
            xtype: 'button', // exclude button
            text: 'Exclude Elements',
            handler: function(){
                ds.filter("hidden", false);
            iconCls: 'remove',
            tooltip: {
                text: 'Exclude things'
        }, ' ', '-', ' ', {
            xtype: 'tbtext',
            text: 'Stuff: ' // label
        }, {
            xtype: 'combo', // then year dollars dropdown
            id: 'multiplierfactor' + config.myTypeHere,
            store: Ext.StoreMgr.get('mytables'),
            width: 125,
            displayField: 'displayData',
            valueField: 'year',
            mode: 'local',
            emptyText: '2009',
            editable: false,
            triggerAction: 'all',
            tooltip: {
                text: 'select your year'
            listeners: {
                select: calculateDollars
