    Question Forcing render of cardLayout

    Forcing render of cardLayout

    I have a tab panel. The second tab contains a portal which in currently contains 4 portlets. Each of these portlet contains a toolbar and a cardlayout with three cards which contain a grid, pie chart and bar chart respectively.

    I know that with the tab panel, the tab will not be rendered until that tab is selected. However, because of this, there is a noticable delay between selecting the second tab and the portal with the data filled portlets actually being displayed.

    Is there any way to force it to render in the background as the application loads? or at least speed it up when the tab is selected.

    Thanks

    Default

    There is even a setter for it.

    Code:
    tabPanel.setDeferredRender(false);
    or if you use cardlayout directly:

    Code:
    cardLayout.setDeferredRender(false);
