    Using a number field type should do the trick, but note it just brings up a keyboard with the numbers available: There are still other characters they can insert, unfortunately-

    Same issue here. Has this been solved with Sencha 1.1? It would be great if you could restrict users to a telephone like keypad. This issue comes up frequently.

    If you want hide "keyboard form accessory" and your mobile web is wrapped in native objective-c app, you may try this solution.
