New version of Illuminations is up: 1.1.5. There is a quick stab at ExtJS4, though it is recommended that you use Firefox 4 and Firebug 1.7 in that case. It will improve along with ExtJS4 betas.
The inspector part is much nicer when used with Firebug 1.7alphas (soon to be betas): clicking on the inspector icon and moving around will outline the component under the mouse. In the case of Ext.DataView it will also highlight the items of the view. I'll see where else that sort of thing makes sense:
Now comes the question, how do I link it to my plugin so it's no longer a trial version?
I click the 'Login or Register' button (in Illuminations tab), and login with my details. There is no change to the plugin though.
Have tried restarting the browser, but still shows as trial.
One of our ops team has been in touch, and you've created five users for us.
What do I have to do with the plugin to link it. Surely you don't do that on the server?!
Not sure what you mean. They should have given you a username and password. In illuminations you click on the buy/login button, the login. That's it. (behind the scenes, when it finds that you are logged into the site, it automatically makes a call, grabs the license info, and then installs it in a license file, which might take a second or two). Anyway, email me directly so everyone else on the thread need not be bothered.
Is anyone else having issues using Illuminations with the latest version of Firebug (Version 1.11)?
Firebug constantly reports the illuminations panel as "Off" when you hover over the firebug button, but yet the panel is enabled. The right click (context menu) functionality also no longer works in order to view EXT components directly.
I was able to fix this by installing version 1.10 of Firebug, but then it seems to auto-update, meaning I have to regularly revert to a previous version
