    Default Lost focus on modal window widgets

    Lost focus on modal window widgets

    Hello,

    I am currently using a modal dialog and i can notice that i loose focus on the widgets that belong to it when moving the mouse away from it.
    After investigation, i noticed that when showing a window, there's a native preview handler that is registered and that blur components under some conditions. This is why focus is lost on my components.

    Did i misunderstand the use of dialog ? Is there any way to avoid this problem?

    Thanks and regards,

    Steeve Beroard

    Default IE9 seems to be having problem with editor field in window

    IE9 seems to be having problem with editor field in window

    I am also facing this problem when i am using the "Editor" in "Window" (setModal is true). Below is the sample code and strange thing is that its working in all FF versions but failed in IE9.

    In IE9 i am losing focus every time when i try to move my mouse over Editor. And the Editor's Complete event is getting fired which is taking me to another method in my code.

    Can anybody help me with this? Is it a bug?

    Note: the Editor is not been added to Window, its just been position according to element in window.

    GXT version: 2.2.4

    Code:
    TextField<String> nodeNameField = new TextField<String>();
    Editor editor = new Editor(nodeNameField);
    editor.setCompleteOnEnter(true);
                editor.addListener(Events.Complete, new Listener<EditorEvent>() {

                    @Override
                    public void handleEvent(EditorEvent ev) {
                        String folderName = (String) ev.getValue();
                        presenter.renameFolder(item, folderName);
                    }
                });

    Element e = view.getFavoritesTree().findNodeElement(item); //view extended from Window
    editor.setCompleteOnEnter(true);

    editor.startEdit(e, item.get("name"));
    //Get the main node
    Node mainNode = e.getFirstChild();
    editor.setPosition(view.getFavoritesTree().getAbsoluteLeft() + width, e.getAbsoluteTop());           //view extended from Window
    nodeNameField.select(0, ((String)item.get("name")).length());
    view.setFocusWidget(editor); //view extended from Window
