Default Combo Box Enable Disable Items

    Combo Box Enable Disable Items

    Hi,

I would like to enable/disable the items in the combo box. For example, if I select a year (2010) combo box then few months (jan, Feb, March) in the month combo box should be enabled & the other months (Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec) should be disabled. Is there any sample to meet the requirement above?

    I appreciate your help!

    Thanks,
    Sathish.

There is no direct way to disable items in a ComboBox. You can for example listen to the SelectionChange event and if a disabled item gets selected, you can mark the combobox invalid (you can also use the Validator for this). I than would also use a custom template to somehow mark disabled items, so the user knows that it should not select these items.
