    Default RadioGroup, Radio button Issue

    RadioGroup, Radio button Issue

    Hello All,

Can anyone please help me to resolve the RadioGroup / Radio issue I am facing ?

I have a created a popup window with TabPanel wrapped in FormPanel. The FormPanel have several tabs, each tab consist of different form fields. In last Tab of the TabPanel, I have placed an RadioGroup. The issues is whenever the Popup window loads and once the form data is loaded, the RadioGroup error appears saying

this.items.first().getName(); // First is not an function.

I have observed that, this issues comes only when the Tab containing the RadioGroup is inactive at the time of loading the form / window. The issue appears in all Tabs which have RadioGroups withing them and are inactive at the time of window / form load.

Any idea what could be the issue ?

    Thanks in advance.

Did you already configure your TabPanel with deferredRender:false?

If yes, then you might need to add forceLayout:true to the RadioGroup.

No. I haven't configured the deferredRender param. Do I need to ?

Also, if I use normal Radio buttons having SAME name, instead of RadioGroup, it throws different error, this.el.up(); el is undefined.

You can't load a form if the fields are not rendered (this is a very annoying limitation that will finally be removed in Ext 4).

This means that you have to configure your TabPanel with:
    Code:
    deferredRender: false,
    layoutOnTabChange: true
to force the hidden tabs to be rendered.
