I had tried a while back to get a group together in the Chicago area. I wasn't terribly successful then... but I wanted to try again.

If there's anyone interested in joining/hosting/presenting in the greater Chicago area, send me a PM with your email address. I'd like to get a mailing list started, and I'm working on redesigning the website I setup way-back-when.

It should be step #1. Meetup.com will do the advertising for you! We've had meetup members drive from NYC to meet with us in DC -- all because Meetup.com did the advertising for us.

That said, one of the things i've learned is that there are a TON of Ext JS devs out there that don't visit the forums. They just are not that type of person to get involved like us.
