Hi,
I've been used base64 images on my projects and it works pretty good.
Before:
After:Code:background: url(../../Green.png);
The point is... Talking about performance. Are there real gains using that approach instead of using images?Code:background-image: url('data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAIUAAACFC...');

Having base64 encoded images reduces the amount of HTTP requests needed, but it slightly increases the size of an image. More on this on Stack Overflow:
