    Are you adding Ext.require('Ext.tree.Panel') above Ext.onReady()?

    It works in the Ext JS tree panel examples. Modify them to include ext.js instead of ext-all.js and you'll see it work.

    this is exactly what im doing
    i use ext.js not ext-all.js

    HTML Code:
     <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="extjs4beta1/resources/css/ext-all.css" />
        <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="extjs4beta1/examples/shared/example.css" />
        <script type="text/javascript" src="extjs4beta1/bootstrap.js"></script>
        <script src="ext.js" language="javascript" type="text/javascript"></script>

      <!--    <script src="ext-all.js" language="javascript" type="text/javascript"></script>-->

          <script src="Scripts/dbinteract.js" language="javascript" type="text/javascript"></script>

    </head>
