Success! Looks like we've fixed this one. According to our records the fix was applied for EXTJS-3994 in 4.2.0.663.

    Need fix for IE!!!!!! Can't have page scrolling around on click off grid row.

    Any workarounds would be appreciated while we wait for a fix.

    I found jrb's workaround good when you do not need a selection model.

    However, when I applied it to a tree grid, IE generated an Object Not Found error. I revised jrb's workaround slightly and applied it to the viewConfig property for the tree as follows:

    Code:
                    viewConfig: {
                        stripeRows: true,
                        loadMask: true,
                        selModel: {}
                    }
    This eliminated the Object Not Found error in IE.

    Still hoping Sencha comes up with a fix to allow a Selection Model and links in a grid panel.

    Default Override fix/workaround

    Override fix/workaround

    I traced it to the dom focus, and created a very simple override that would stop it from happening. I don't know what effect if any it will have on focus events as I'm not using them in my application, but this works for me. I left the focus method commented out in the override so when this gets fixed I'll know why I did this in the first place.

    Hope it helps!

    Code:
    Ext.override(Ext.selection.RowModel, {
        onRowMouseDown: function(view, record, item, index, e) {
    //        view.el.focus();
            this.selectWithEvent(record, e);
        }
    });

    This works for me, too. Thanks !!!

    fyi, ext-4.0.7-gpl changed this part to

    Code:
    onRowMouseDown: function(view, record, item, index, e) {
            view.el.focus();
            if (!this.allowRightMouseSelection(e)) {
                return;
            }
            this.selectWithEvent(record, e);
     },
    so I made some change accordingly.

    Does anyone know if this fix was applied to 4.1.0 Beta-3? I am having this exact problem with 4.0.7 and I rely heavily on the selection model so the above fix isn't fesible for me.

    Any other workarounds people have come up with?
