    Default Export Dtore to EXcel in EXTJS4

    Export Dtore to EXcel in EXTJS4

    I am using EXTJS 4.0.7 .Did anyone get this exportTest2 library work in EXTJS4.0.7 and above?. When I deploy it I just get the Grid but nothing is showing up as the export button. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am creating my own button and calling Exporter functionality in the handler:

    handler: function() {
    click:Ext.ux.exporter.Exporter.exportAny(myGrid, 'excel', {
    swfPath:'/app/lib/components/gridexporter/ux/exporter/downloadify.swf',
    donloadimage:'app/lib/components/gridexporter/ux/exporter/download.png',
    width:62,
    height:22,
    downloadname:"myDownload"
    });

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Instead of the Grid how do I export the store.

    Hi Ananth,

    Please attach the customized code which you have written in the exporterany function . But it works when you use it has xtype:'exporterbutton' and the directories to ux folder where exporter.js file is located and it will work fine . As you had some error in the customized code so only its not allowing the grid to populate the store .

    Default Export to Excel -

    Export to Excel -

    I am creating the custom button since my grid is customized. SO I am writing the custom button in.0.7 EXTJS4. my code is like this
    var myButton = ('Ext.Button', {
    xtype:'exporterbutton',
    width:100,
    text:'Export to CSV'
    scale:'large',
    store:Ext.data.StoreManager.lookup('MyModelStore');
    swPath: ../../Ext/ux/exporter/downloadify.swf',
    renderTo;Ext.getBody(),
    listeners:{
    afterender:function(){
    Ext.create('Ext.tip.ToolTip'), {
    target:this.getEl(),
    trackMouse: true,
    html:"Export to CSV"
    });
    }
    },
    handler:function(){
    document.location ='data:application/vnd.ms-excel;base64,'
    }
    }
    });

    This code locates where the excel program is but it is not reading the store and writing the data. I need this working and what would be the fastest way to modify this program to enable this write the store data and export is as well.

    Thanks!

    I've created a new Grid/Store to Excel plugin for Ext JS 4.x, fully described here:

    http://druckit.wordpress.com/2013/10...ext-js-4-grid/

    You can check it out on Sencha Fiddle here:

    This is cool, but has no support for column renderer. It's also missing support for the grid features such as grouping. Both are big show stoppers, especially the column renderer.

    In addition, it seems to do a poor job figuring out the values for each column are numbers or strings. Excel complains that:

    Code:
    The number in this cell is formatted as text or preceded by an apostrophe.
    Seems that the code is there for renderer, but the meta data doesn't get passed so there is no way to get the editor (unless I use some workaround) which is needed to get the corresponding data to set the value to.

    Seems to fail on my grid.

    Version: 4.2.1.883
    Browser: Chrome 29

    error.jpg

    It only breaks when adding xtype: 'actioncolumn' (see code below):

    Code:
    {
        xtype: 'actioncolumn',
        width: 24,
        resizable: false,
        items: [{
            tooltip: 'Notes'
        }]
    }

    @radtad - it actually does support data typing - the issue that you're encountering with "The number in this cell is formatted as text or preceded by an apostrophe." is because you didn't type the fields in your model as int or float. If you add the data types to your model, the excel error message will disappear.

    I think you're referring to the first post I made which was in reference to this thread. The second post was in reference to your plugin.

    And just to note, declaring the type shouldn't matter anyway as the default type is a string in the mdo

    The type does matter since the plugin needs to know what markup to generate for the ss:Type property of each cell (line 313). Now, I suppose that I could make an educated guess - but since your numeric fields should be typed to ensure correct Store sorting, doing so seemed superfluous.
