    Question Data Overlapping Problem

    Data Overlapping Problem

    Dear Friendz,

I am using ExtJS library since long time. And feeling very nice to have such a great choice with me.

I am facing few small problems here while rendering a data inside a grid.

Rendering is done! All the data has been displayed inside a grid! But when I try to reduce a width of particular column that disturbs alignment of all other columns.

Please help finding screen shots attached to make me more clear.

Please notice that second row has long string contained within first two columns. What I expect is it should trim the string beyond certain limit (columnWidth).

    Thanks for your precious time.

    Thanks and Regards,
    SachinJadhav.

    1. Just to make sure: Is this Ext 2.2? (because this will happen with Ext <=2.1 on FF3).
    2. Did you add any custom CSS styling that could influence the rendering?

No, I am using Ext 2.0.2 library.

    And I have included 'grid-examples.css' and 'examples.css'.

Just to make sure I guess I would need to update the libraries from 2.0.2 to 2.2.

Is this the only issue or is there any other problem.

Please let me know if any suggestions.

    Thanks and Regards,
    SachinJadhav.

Ext 2.0.2 doesn't support Firefox 3 (all components using tables are affected, e.g. GridView and DatePicker).

I would recommend upgrading to Ext 2.2 (but you could also implement all the fixes from the FF3 bugs thread).

    Thumbs up

I upgraded from Ext 2.0.2 to Ext 2.2.

It worked nicely without any problems (and that is strange for me )

Thanks you all for genuine support.

    Thanks and Regards,
    SachinJadhav.

@amccarri: Thanks for this: grid.getView().refresh(true). Great!
