is it possible to use GXT3 DP2 with GXT2 grid?

a beginner question. is it possible to use the 2 version together? I notice that GXT3 DP2 doesn't have any grid widgets, and wonder if it is possible to use GXT3 with use those grid widgets from GXT2? thx

GXT3 is not ready and should not be used at all for development. It is in pre alpha state right now.


You can put GXT2 components into GXT3, however you need to manually implement their integration and so, this is not so easy. You should wait for the final GXT3 release or stick with GXT2 completly for now

Hi,

I couldn't find any Table/Grid style class in DP2 (which I assume is the reason of this topic).
Is such a component planned for GXT3?
Or is the GWT Grid class preferred and GXT3 will add all the nice features from GXT2 (ColumnHeader, Store integration etc. etc.)?

Also: If this question could be answered by looking at a specific thread/post/blog entry please let me know.

Yes grid is planned. It will come in one of the next preview releases. This will also cover a new TreeGrid, new TreePanel and new ListView
