    Is there an 'official' Sencha Touch 2 github repo? I bet a lot of people would like to contribute or share ideas on the project. And looking at the package it doesn't seem like there is any real problem in open-sourcing the codebase.

    There is but it's private to Sencha employees (and a select few community members). The reason we don't open it up right now is that we have to support this (people pay for support) and we don't have the man power to deal with the thousands of people that would send pull requests.
