    Default Answered: Ext.Ajax.serializeForm()

    Answered: Ext.Ajax.serializeForm()

    It is my understanding that Ext.Ajax.serializeForm() was removed from extjs4.

    Is there an easy work around for serializing a non ext.form?
    Right now I'm using jQuery, but I'm trying to leave it behind and I'm looking for a extjs equivalent.

    Do I need to extend extjs to add it back in and how would I do this?

    thanks

  2. i got it.

    Ext.Element.serializeForm('thisform');

    This would have been so easy if an example was provided.

    there appears to be a serializeForm function listed under Ext.element, but I been completely unsuccessful in my attempts to access it.

    //console.info(Ext.serializeForm('thisform'));
    //console.info( Ext.get('thisform').serializeForm('thisform') );
    //console.info( Ext.serializeForm(Ext.get('thisform')) );
    console.info( Ext.select('#thisform').serializeForm('thisform') );

    I get a function undefined in each case.
    Can someone give me an extjs4 example of how to use serializeForm.
