Why Ext Designer can't edit in code?

but why can edit in code and import old file to my project.
if next version can edit in code, can open file or can import file to project.

Intent of Designer
Intent of Designer
Designer is NOT an IDE... Its intent was to be a mock up tool that quickly creates the boiler-plate code.
It really does save a lot of time (when you miss the bugs) to mock up a design rather than code it by hand and the customer comes back to tell you to do it over again...Perfection as a goal is a nice idea that can point one in a specific direction. However, since "perfection" is an ever changing (evolving?) and moving target, one must admit that perfection can never be obtained...
When in doubt, check the d4mn source code!

Designer 2.x will enable you to edit application code and event handlers. We are taking the designer from a tool specifically to build views to a full-blown application builder.

REALLY???! That's awesome! Looking forward to it.
One request, can you fix the current bugs first?Perfection as a goal is a nice idea that can point one in a specific direction. However, since "perfection" is an ever changing (evolving?) and moving target, one must admit that perfection can never be obtained...
