    When extjs.com was unavailable to me for an hour or so, my copy of the api docs looked broken. There are many references to extjs.com which should not be for folks who do not view the docs online.

    Code:
    // in your overrides file, specify
    Ext.BLANK_IMAGE_URL = 'resources/s.gif'; // maybe this should be the default? seems to work fine.
    [edit 1]
    also mentioned in the FAQ and the docs.

    [edit 2]
    but it makes sense to put that into index.html... i'll check with jack.

    @Mystix - he's talking about the (css ?) references to the image files themselves.

    the cause of the image placeholders in djliquidice's attached pic are due to Ext.BLANK_IMAGE_URL being set to http://extjs.com/s.gif (the default value). the xhtml resulting in those image placeholders is generated by Ext.

    putting this
    Code:
    Ext.BLANK_IMAGE_URL = 'resources/s.gif';
    with the rest of the in-page js in ext-2.0-beta1a\docs\index.html will fix it.

    p.s. i've just done a search (via notepad++ in the ext-2.0-beta1a download) in all .html and .css files and the only occurence of extjs.com/s.gif is in line 35 of Ext.html and it's part of this description "URL to a 1x1 transparent gif image used by Ext to create inline icons with CSS background images. (Defaults to "http://extjs.com/s.gif" and you should change this to a URL on your server).", so yes, Ext.BLANK_IMAGE_URL was the problem

    Yep, changing it to a relative URL does it, then it would work locally too.

    My point is we (the community) need to have this done by default for the docs - like the 1.x branch
