Default Export broken when images with no url is used

Export broken when images with no url is used

Can't export project anymore. It just shows me this:

    Untitled.jpg
Tried restarting animator but problem is persistent, I can't export anymore, making the project I was working on pretty much worthless. Glad I did not spend any money on this, it is clearly not finished.

Sorry you're having issues. Do you want to zip up your project folder and post it here or PM it to me so I can take a look at it?

Also, could you describe the issue more? Is the problem that the "Preview Export" button does not work?

    Hi Arne

    I'm sorry, I wasn't very clear there.

I was convinced for some reason that, earlier on in my evaluation, the export dialog showed another button besides 'preview export'. But there never was such a button... (still a crash though, I'll get back at it)

This whole export process is weird at best on windows. :
    1) user clicks 'export project'
    2) user then sees this:
    Untitled.jpg

so we wanted to export but we are expected to either/or:
    - toggle 'ormma' (?)
    - toggle 'minified' (?)
    - preview our export.
I'm just a stupid user and I don't want to preview nothing I just wanted to export. It is unclear what I am supposed to do now, so I'll click the only button here. Then I am presented with the source code and an 'export to folder' button. AHA! Maybe I need to press that one too, let's press it:

I get a standard windows SAVE file dialog,.
Huh? I was under the impression that I was going to have to select a folder?
Or am I supposed to enter a filename now used as the export filename?
Turns out I can't select anything, I *have* to enter something in the filename field, but it will be used as the name of a folder in which my export will be saved. (here is where my export crashes by the way).

I think the export process needs a bit of a review guys.

Still, my project crashes on the final step..

Exactly what files is it that you want me to send? The saved project file only?

    cheers.

If you send me the project folder that would be easiest for me.

Our help documentation does briefly talk about the export process if you're curious on what the export options means
    http://docs.sencha.com/animator/1-0/#!/guide/menus

I agree that the current export process is a little clunky. I am sure it will be significantly improved over time.

When you say "crash", do you mean that the error dialog came up or that the application quit or became unresponsive?

    Hi Arne,

Send you a PM with a pointer to the files.
The programs doesn't crash, it says something along the lines of 'something bad happened, would you like to send a report?' (which I did).

    Thanks,
I looked at your project file and found the bug that you're running into. What happens is that you have an image element with no image specified (your object named "achtergrond") and Animator doesn't currently handle that correctly.

So a workaround is to only use the image element if you use it with an image. If you want an object with only a background image, you can use the square or circle tool, remove any styles you want and add background images to them.

    Thanks for reporting the bug!
