Can Sencha please work on a windows metro theme for ExtJS? The current themes are extremely long in the tooth. http://bit.ly/NZ2sTV.

For your out-rageous Licensing prices, I would be surprised if you had a large customer base. For the very simple changes (changing only the Title bar colors), I would not pay you over $3USD! However, if that was for a service whereby you are creating a single highly customized theme, then I would consider it. Otherwise, I could get some high-school kid to do the same simple changes for nothing more than my time...
Perfection as a goal is a nice idea that can point one in a specific direction. However, since "perfection" is an ever changing (evolving?) and moving target, one must admit that perfection can never be obtained...

When in doubt, check the d4mn source code!

I believe Sencha should create a theme editor in the same vain as the Sencha Animator app. Have it show a preview of the theme and allow us to click on any element and modify the properties / icon. Then once we are done, it will spit out the css file we want to deploy on our site(s).

    Thanks for your feedback lorezyra.

I'd like to point out that quite a bit more work has gone into the theme than that, for others reading this. I do not want this to come across as a sales pitch, as this isn't the place for it. On the other hand. I do not want people thinking we are ripping them off with "the very simple changes" we have made for the price we are asking.

It's not just a colour change like the majority of the themes out there.

    Changes include:
    • Colours and font changes
    • Completely new icon set, including extra common icons for use in your application
    • Form components redone checkboxes/radios/warning/ etc
    • Fixes from the original theme.
    • Many more subtle changes to ~95% of the default components
    • Access to the GitHub repository for up to date changes and issue tracking
At the end of the day. This theme took a fair amount of work to produce and refine, and that is reflected in the price. It is aimed at companies who don't want to spend time/effort re-theming their framework of choice. Considering it's a one off purchase allowing companies to re-use the theme in all their products and doesn't come with a per developer cost. We think it's very fairly priced. If you can get a high school kid to do all that in less than a day for less than £300. Tell me where they are and we'll hire them to produce more themes

We do have a fair sized client base on this theme. All of who have been perfectly happy with the service we've provided.

We do also provide bespoke themes to clients. They cost a bit more than £300 though.

    Cheers,
    Jamie

    Jamie,
I apologize if I slammed your work too hard. However, the changes seem too subtle. Comparing the themes you created versus those created by Sencha, it's difficult to see a difference within 5 seconds.

I can respect the hard work required to create a new theme. Perhaps if you created a "metro" theme or something that is obviously different, then it would add value to your service. When I look at themes, I give it a max of 10 seconds to impress me. Otherwise, I move on.
