Ext.ux.TouchCalendar
Ext.ux.TouchCalendar
Hi all,
I'd like to introduce a new Sencha Touch extension that has been in progress for a wee while but I've struggled to find time to complete it. So I'm finally releasing it to the wild and to get some feedback from you guys!
Ext.ux.TouchCalendar is an extension, and set of related plugins, that allows you to integrate a calendar component into your application.
Attachment 29184Attachment 29182Attachment 29183
It consists of one main extension (Ext.ux.TouchCalendarView) which extends the Ext.DataView class and provides the basic calendar view and structure. It can then be complimented with the Ext.ux.TouchCalendarSimpleEvents or Ext.ux.TouchCalendarEvents plugins which allow a data store to be bound to it to display dots or bars representing the events in the store.
The Ext.ux.TouchCalendar extension is a wrapper (and still a little experimental at the moment...) that extends the Ext.Carousel class and makes navigating the calendar a little nicer.

You can download the code from the GitHub repository - https://github.com/SwarmOnline/Ext.ux.TouchCalendar
Extra Info
Extra info about how to use it etc can be found in the ReadMe on GitHub or in the blog post on the website.
There are a few known issues and limitations but I'll hopefully find some time to iron those out in the next week or so.
Anyways... let me know what you think

Also, you may want to look at submitting it to the App Gallery if you haven't already! Get you some extra traffic hopefully!

Awesome work Stuart.

I was waiting for someone who is gonna take this effort . Atlast you have done it
. I have been working with fullcalendar a bit and always liked to have something based on Ext.

Nice work
.
For a better using, I also suggest you to also create a "DatePicker" form filed that allow you to choose the wanted day and, just a little detail, use a
Code:text-overflow: ellipsis;
on the events description.
Good job Stuart

Thanks for the comments!
@Andrea, Good thinking, I'll add that style in. A DatePicker field would be a useful addition so I'll put it on the todo-list!SwarmOnline.com - Web & Mobile Development and Training Services
