    Default Quoting in DomHelper

    Quoting in DomHelper

    Hi!

    Using chrome I have tried to create an element using the DomHelper:
    Code:
        DomHelper.createDom({
            type: 'input',
            value: 'here is a value with quotes in it " and " '
        })
    Which produces:
    Code:
        <input value="here is a value with quotes in it " and " ">
    But I think should produce:
    Code:
        <input value="here is a value with quotes in it &quot; and &quot; ">
    Thanks :-)

    That or escaped quotes. Thank you for the report.

    Escaped quotes doesn't work. This seems to still be broken in 4.2 Any updates or a fast workaround?

    To answer my own question, until this is fixed, I'm just doing:

    Code:
    Ext.DomHelper.append('div-id', {
    tag: 'input', value: Ext.String.htmlEncode(value)
    })
