I have a stylized form panel that involves text input elements with a black background. Across iOS devices, and most android devices, that background continues to be black when the elements are both in and out of focus. However, certain mobile browsers—including the one that ships with the HTC Incredible—seem to ignore CSS styles when input elements gain focus. I've tried the usual CSS tricks to no avail.

I have two input elements in a formPanel with the id of "loginFields". Here's the CSS I've written:

Code:
#loginFields .x-field{
    background-color: black;
    -webkit-border-radius: 5px;
    -moz-border-radius: 5px;
    border-radius: 5px;
    height: 42px;
    margin-bottom:4px;
    border-bottom: 1px rgba(255,255,255,.25) solid;
}

#loginFields .x-field input, #loginFields .x-field input:focus{
    background: transparent !important;
    color:white;
}
Anyone know of a potential fix?
