    Default Answered: How to get Component from a touch event

    Answered: How to get Component from a touch event

    Usually when I extend a component, I can add user-defined property like

    myNewCmp = Ext.extend(<superclass>, {
    myFunc: function(){.......
    ........

    Inside myFunc(), 'this' refers to myNewCmp. This is fine all the ways until monitoring touch events:-

    this.mon(this.el,{ touchstart: this.myFunc, ......

    When myFunc is triggered by touch events, 'this' inside refers to myNewCmp.el (the object argument passed also refer to .el only)

    Anyway to get reference of myNewCmp inside touch events please (apart from Ext.getCmp which requires fixed id)?

  2. Code:
    this.mon(this.el, {
        scope : this,
        touchstart : this.someFn
    });
    You can set the scope.
