    Hi, thanks

In .net or other programming languages we specify the server name and path. But don't know how to give the server details in sencha touch?

    Ex:

    Data Source=192.168.0.33;Initial Catalog=xxx;User ID=x;Connection Timeout=60;Connection Lifetime=0;Min Pool Size =0;Max Pool Size=100;Pooling=true;" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient"

this is in .Net connection string. How to give this server information in sencha touch? Kindly help me... I am new to sencha touch..

You did not read the documentation. You cannot connect directly to your database! Javascript is client side logic, and you can do an ajax request to an server side api (php, java, asp etc). The server side part must connect to the database and return an JSON or XML that you can use in sencha...

It's client/server. Your Sencha code is client side, your server side code is separate. So you need to pass the data between the two. It's a different pattern than standard web-based applications. If your application needs to be available offline then use HTML5 Local Storage on the device for your data and write some synchronizing code in Sencha Touch to sync back to the Webhost. On your web host expose web services (REST based) so you have end points for taking in data.

I wrote a tutorial on how to do this in Sencha Touch 1.0. I imagine the pattern is similar for Sencha Touch 2.0.
