I'm learning some of Sencha JS Frameworks like Extjs and Touch 2.0 .
Now I need to developing a Web-Based application that must run on a Desktop Environment, and before I choose to create an application with these tools I would to know something about them.
My Questions are:
Is Sencha Touch 2 a good solution for a WebApp that runs on a desktop environment using a touch screen display as an input/output device?
Does it runs fine in this scenario?
Has Sencha Touch 2 widget or layout compatible with a standard touch screen and events callable from this device? (Like Tap, Release, etc...)
Has it the same brillant performaces of a Tablet or a Smartphone?
All your questions have only a single answer: Absolutely Yes!
SenchaTouch works great on phones and tablets but also (and even better) on desktop webkit browsers.
Using SenchaTouch will allow you to create a single universal application.
ExtJS is amazing as well, but its best use is not on Touch devices because, you know, all the UI components are, for instance, to small to tap.
In addition, SenchaTouch provides all the touch events you need.
In conclusion, if you have to develop an amazing non touch app, ExtJS is definitively the best framework you can use. For all the reasons you mentioned, SenchaTouch is the definitive solution.

But I need also some widgets that I've not found in Sencha Touch 2.0, like the amazing Grid.
I need more Grids in my Application and in the Sencha API Documentation I didn't found them.
Are there maybe some exploits for using these widgets in my application using just Sencha Touch 2.0?
