    Using Designer 2.0 and Designer 1.1


    Can I load Designer 2.0 and still have 1.1 on my machine to use as I have been? I would like to still do our production development with the old designer and try out the new designer.

    Yes, they will install in different directories in all operating systems.

    In windows and linux installing designer 2.0 will start owning the xds file extensions which you can change back if you want.
    In os x installing designer 2.0 will not own the new file extension whig you can also change via finder.

    In short yes they can live side by side but you will have to configure yor file associations the way you want them.
