Number field format

I need to display 'Year' as a field on the form. I am trying to use 'numberfield' but instead of displaying '2012' the form displays '2,012'.

1. Any way to control this format?
2. Any way to allow only integer number to be entered?
3. Should this be done some how in the model?

You are probably better off using a text feild.
