Status messages (afetr save/export/etc)
Status messages (afetr save/export/etc)
Just a two center here. Totally minor points.
The status message after a save/export/etc can block the controls underneath, must pause until message fades before next click.
IMHO it is bad practice to use timed status messages. Too fast for some, too slow for others, just right for nobody.
The messages themselves are grey on white sorta thing, a bit challenging for eyes past their prime. A long path gets bumped off the background, it's not readable at any age.
There's a bar along the bottom. A usual place for status messages.
Fantastic tool. Looking forward to it. Hurry Up !!!

Thanks for the feedback. The Growl/Acknowledgement style toaster windows are getting a style update.
In the past we had the status updates in the bottom tray and no one noticed them.
We're working on getting it out there to you guys

Because they were in 6pt type, white on grey, and faded out in a second !!
Only a javascript coder would even think of timers and animations for a status message !
But this is not a mobile or web app. It's a desktop tool.
No big deal. I just wanted to point out that "no one noticed them" begged the point.
A disk icon that goes grey when the project is clean is pretty standard.
Or put the status message in the status bar, and clear it when a new operation is initiated.
No need to re-invent interfaces here.
Kind wishes.
