    Default Unanswered: How to get [selectfield] instance in the RC 2?

    Unanswered: How to get [selectfield] instance in the RC 2?

    Dears,

    I was using PR3 and getting the [selectfield] instance while initialization as following:
    Code:
                                    items: [{
                                                xtype: 'selectfield',
                                                name: 'Group',
                                                label: 'Vehicle Group',
                                                activeItem: 0,
                                                options: [ {activeItem: 'none', value: 'none'} ],
                                                initComponent: function(){ GroupsPointer = this; },
                                                listeners: {
                                                                change: function() {
                                                                        // Do whatever
                                                                }
                                                           }
                                            },
    In initializing the application this event get fired: initComponent, so I used it to save an instance of it in [GroupsPointer], then I use this instance for dealing with that [selectfield] such as:

    Code:
    GroupsPointer.setOptions(MyData);
    After updating to latest release (sencha-touch-2-rc.zip), the code is no longer working because initComponent is not fired on initialization. How to solve this problem? I need pointer for the [selectfield] to update its values/options.

    Regards,

    You should use ComponentQuery to resolve it. Here is an example to give you the theory of how to do it:

    Code:
    var cnt = new Ext.Container({
        fullscreen : true,
        items      : [
            {
                xtype   : 'selectfield',
                label   : 'Select',
                options : []
            }
        ]
    });

    var selectfield = cnt.down('selectfield');
