Default freeze first column in grid

    freeze first column in grid

I am using editable grid with dynamic column names it works fine but I need to freeze the first column
i.e. like in excel freeze the first column
Mine is student name and a list of assessments and their score so I want to scroll horizontally keeping the student name column untagged.

    Thanks

If you are using Ext JS 4 you can set the locked : true config on the column. It will lock that column so that it won't take part in horizontal scrolling.
