Answered: Event bus: detecting an application level event with controllers control object?
I'm using the recommended event bus to communicate between controllers:
Controller A
Controller BCode:doSomething: function() { this.getApplication().fireEvent('somthingdone','awesome'); };
This works but I'm wondering if it's possible to setup application level events using the controllers control object instead?Code:launch:function(){this.getApplication().on({ somthingdone: this.doSomethingElse }) },

The control config can only listen for components not classes like the application. You can fire events on Ext.Viewport which is always going to be there and is global.
