Default Unanswered: How to make a button from a tab bar show a navigation view?

Unanswered: How to make a button from a tab bar show a navigation view?

    Hi Folks,

I'm new to ST2 and I'm trying to mimic the behavior of an existing application as a way to learn it. This application has a tabbar as it's main view however whenever we click one of the tabbar's buttons a navigation view with a back button is bring to front. I'd like to reproduce this behavior but I'm falling short.

If I start with a panel with some buttons, I can't get the buttons to look like the tabbar buttons and if I go with a tabbar I can't figure how I could link it to a navigation view.

Could someone help me out pointing how to acomplish this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Eric

If you want to use the tab bar then use a tab panel and have the navigation view as a child item of the tabpanel.

I did this and navigationview doesn't work correctly

    Many thanks for helping.

I have a build where I did as you described and the navigationview back button shows immediately. I suppose this is because it is seeing the first 'card' on the tabbar as an item in the navigationview?

Can you try this your self and confirm?

    so:
    tabpanel:
    tabbar
    item 1: blah
    item 2 [ navigationview: [item 1, item2] ]

result when clicking item 2 on tabbar: navigationview item 2 shows with back button displaying. I would like navview item 1 with no back button. So like the start of a wizard.

Please suggest a fix soon, as I'm facing a deadline... help

Looks like you have some nested data. Have a look at this one here: http://docs.sencha.com/touch/2.2.0/t.../nestedloading

Not able to display Child elements

I want similar sort of things... I have already tried this example... but whenever I use nested list it only shows parent element and not child elements and i am not able to see my tap panel also...

    Thanks..
