I work for a public library, and we have developed a mobile site. The management wants us to create a native app, and Sencha Touch looks like a good solution for us. I have questions though:
Can we import our mobile site so that we're not starting from scratch? It was created by my colleague using iPhone Studio.
Here's the trickiest part: Our catalogue (on Sirsi) currently lives on a different website than our library site (on Ektron), so users are redirected when they do a catalogue search, both on the regular site and the mobile site. I'm a new employee, so I don't understand the beaurocratic issues in play here, but I would love to create an app that integrates the experience, since the catalogue search is the #1 reason people would use the app. Is this possible with Sencha Touch?
The catalogue can potentially return results in JSON and XML, but I'm not sure if our current license gives us access to those results. There has recently been talk of upgrading our license, which would definitely give us full access to Sirsi's web services.
Would this be the requirement to integrate the two sites in one app?
