Success! Looks like we've fixed this one. According to our records the fix was applied for EXTGWT-1823 in 3.0.3.

    Default (RC) CheckBox setReadOnly not working as expected

    (RC) CheckBox setReadOnly not working as expected

    You get odd behavior when setting a CheckBox as read only in the RC, the checkbox is shown as disabled in Chrome. As depicted below:

    CheckBox-setReadOnly.png

    How to reproduce:

    Code:
    CheckBox field = new CheckBox();
    field.setReadOnly(true);
    Shows as disabled in Chrome (17), and enabled in Firefox (10) and Internet Explorer (8).

    Thanks for reporting this. Some quick investigation seems to show that this is a discrepancy between how different browsers render a checkbox input element when it has the readonly attribute set. Setting readonly on an input element should disallow any changes to the input's value, but checking and unchecking a checkbox represent changes to the checkbox's state and should be allowed. In any case, I've filed a bug against the team and will follow up here with any changes.

    It's not yet fixed in the 3.0 GA, it appears to be something Windows specific in Chrome.

    In Linux it looks alright in Chrome (18), but not on Windows (XP and 7), IE version doesn't seem to matter.

    Has there been any progress whatsoever on this issue during the course of the last month? A status update would be appreciated.
