Success! Looks like we've fixed this one. According to our records the fix was applied for EXTGWT-1844 in a recent build.

    Exclamation IE8 Radios in ToggleGroup

    IE8 Radios in ToggleGroup

    It looks like this fix introduced another problem:
    scscreenshot120403001.png
    These three Radio's are member of the same ToggleGroup.
    When I nicely (left-)click the icons everything works as expected: only one is in the selected state.
    When I (left-)click on the text of one that is currently not selected, I get the state as shown in the screenshot.
    If I click somewhere else on some white space only the last clicked one is selected.
    • Ext GWT 3.0.0 RC
    • IE (version 8.0.7601.17514)
    Code:
    Code:
    public class ToggleGroupExample implements EntryPoint, IsWidget {

        public void onModuleLoad() {
            RootPanel.get().add(asWidget());
        }

        public Widget asWidget() {
            Radio radio = new Radio();
            radio.setBoxLabel("Choice 1");
            Radio radio2 = new Radio();
            radio2.setBoxLabel("Choice 2");
            Radio radio3 = new Radio();
            radio3.setBoxLabel("Choice 3");
            ToggleGroup toggleGroup = new ToggleGroup();
            toggleGroup.add(radio);
            toggleGroup.add(radio2);
            toggleGroup.add(radio3);
            toggleGroup.setValue(radio);

    Thanks for following up. Because this is a new issue, I've split the thread into this new one. This makes it possible for us to link a bug to a unique forum thread. I've filed a bug against the team and will follow up here with any changes we make.

    Default [RC2] in IE you can't select a radio button that is in a ButtonGroup

    [RC2] in IE you can't select a radio button that is in a ButtonGroup

    Hi,

    I read in the RC2 release notes that this bug should be fixed.
    But ... it's even worse!

    In my IE (version 8.0.7601.17514) now I can't select any radio button that is in a ToggleGroup!
    Did you test this in IE?
    Well, those radio buttons apparently are a nightmare...

    To be more precisely:
    - By default you can't select a radio button that belongs to a ToggleGroup
    - Once you programmatically have selected the radio button (by calling toggleGroup.setValue()) you can select that radio button again. But then, the initial problem of being able to select multiple items (at least the visually indication is like that) remains.

    Sample code can be found here

    Run it in IE.
    • Try selecting the radio buttons "This is a GXT Radio", "This is another GXT Radio", "Choice 2" or "Choice 3". Whether you click on the radio button or on its text, it never becomes selected.
    • Now press the "Choice 2" button. => The "Choice 2" radio becomes selected.
      Now you can select "Choice 1" or "Choice 2" by clicking their radio. Not "Choice 3" yet.
    • Now press the "Choice 3" button. => The "Choice 3" radio becomes selected.
      Now you can select "Choice 1", "Choice 2" or "Choice 3" by clicking their radio as expected.
    • But now, if you click their text labels you (at least visually) get multiple selects like before.

    I'm not able to reproduce your issue with the following configurations

    Windows 7 SP1 32-bit
    Internet Explorer 8.0.7601.17514
    Development mode and production mode
    RC 2 and latest build from SVN

    Your test case works fine. Whether I use the Choice buttons or not, I have no problem selecting the radio buttons either by clicking the button itself or its label.

    Are you sure that your project has been updated to the RC 2 build? Have you tried cleaning your workspace and starting a build from scratch?

    Have you tried the example in a VM, or on a physical machine? We've noticed that you get different behavior on a real machine. (Only then it's broken.)

    If in a VM, could you retry please? Thanks in advance.

    Are you sure that your project has been updated to the RC 2 build?
    Very sure.

    Prove: Another problem we had
    Code:
    [EXTGWT-1892] - When using stroke on a gauge series setting the max or min value causes a line to extrude from the chart.
    is solved in the same custom example explorer we run.

    Have you tried cleaning your workspace and starting a build from scratch?
    It's in a deployed version of our custom example explorer.

    Good!
    Seems to be solved in 3.0.0

    (as indicated in the release notes:
    • [EXTGWT-1844] - IE8 Radios in ToggleGroup not working on label clicks
    )

    An update of this thread would have been nice.
