how to select with combo a remote file name ?

i have in web server a folder with pdf docs inside.
i have a form with several fields, and in one field i want that the user can select/pick/... the name of one field in the docs remote folder...

how can i do this ??

I think to put in a combofield, but how to load the files names ??

You server side code would have to return the filenames in JSON or XML format.
