Small Issues with Installing Sencha Architect
Small Issues with Installing Sencha Architect
I'm running the win8 preview from February so these may just be related to that. First, I could not get the new version to install until I went into control panel and removed both SA and SD previous releases. Second, I got a warning I think telling me that there is no code signing cert associated with the install. Is that true, do you guys not have a code signing certificate associated with the packaging?

I uninstalled the beta version, which worked fine. Downloaded and installed the architect 2.0.0.
Started the tool, activated the account.
If i try to create a new EXTJS project or attempt to open up an existing project, the "welcome window" disappears and no UI shows up after that.
I can see the process still running in the background taking 120MB of RAM.
I have to manually "kill" it to free up the RAM, but it never works.
Tried rebooting several times but still the same result.
I have EXT Designer 'v 1.2.2 Build:48' still installed and it works just fine.
Running on Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 3.
Do i have to uninstall the version 1.2 so that this will work?
Probably the title is "Big Issues with installing Sencha Architect"

Me too. Installed a trial version Architect 2.0 on Vista. I've never used any Sencha product before.
Selecting "Create new project / Ext JS 4.0/ " just closes all windows and leaves a process running.

Big issue
Same here, after selecting a project type, gui disappears. Process is running but nothing shows on desktop or taskbar.

Big Issue solved
Big Issue solved
Things i forgot to mention: i run windows 7 64 bit.
Thanx to process explorer (found on technet) i noticed that SA2 tries to read files from folder C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\Sencha, Inc.
Not all of it proved successfull. So i deleted that folder, et voila! SA2 recreates it and welcomes you once again (including setting up your account). Starting a project works after that. Hope that's helpfull to anyone.

I had the same issue as j.vreeken but on Windows XP. Here the folder to delete was C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Sencha, Inc\Sencha Architect 2.0.
After that I was able to open SA2 again.

These directories are located in the following spots on respective operating systems.
Delete the following directory:
Windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Sencha, Inc\Sencha Architect 2.0\
Windows Vista/7
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Sencha, Inc\Sencha Architect 2.0\
Linux
~/.local/share/data/Sencha, Inc./Sencha Architect 2.0/
Mac OS X
~/Library/Application Support/Sencha, Inc./Sencha Architect 2.0/
I'm not sure why they are getting corrupted but it seems that some users are having success with removing this directory and restarting the application.Aaron Conran
