Selectfield picker component v overlay list scrolling

Hello,

When using a selectfield in Sencha Architect, I've noticed that the picker component automatically scrolls to the selected item in the list , however the overlay list component does not.

Is this by design?

If so how do I get the overlay list to automatically scroll to the selected item?

This question keeps coming up, but I haven't seen a working solution provided from anyone. Some 'off the top of my head' nonworking code has been offered, but I haven't seen anything that actually works.
