    When a new item is added in the project inspector via the "+" button it would be nice if that item was selected in the inspector so that properties could immediately be set.

    I think this is a reasonable request and one that we should implement.

    When creating from the toolbox, the newly created component will be selected if you drag and drop but will not be selected if you double click.

    This was done so that you can drag out a formpanel and then doubleclick on fields to add them to the formpanel.
