    Default TreeGrid text-overflow

    TreeGrid text-overflow

    Version(s) of Ext GWT
Ext GWT 3.0 Release Candidate 2

Browser versions and OS (and desktop environment, if applicable)
    IE 9 Windows 7

    Virtual Machine
    No

    Description
A normal grid widget contains the "text-overflow: ellipsis" css attribute, so when a text doesn't completely fit into a cell, it's ended with 3 dots "...". That's a nice feature, but unfortunately a TreeGrid doesn't share this beheviour. Because of the column lines bug the lines just get mixed when the text is too long and there is no way to indicate a separation.

Thanks for bringing this up. I'll file this against the team and have them take a closer look. Hopefully, there isn't any difference that would prevent this from working equally well for TreeGrids.
