Almost impossible to select - start and end.

Hello everyone.
I'm with one application that uses line chart.

It's extremely hard to select the points on the first and on the last month (in my case) on the chart.
What do you guys generally do in this case?

I can add an empty record to the start and end, but this isn't the best approach for me.
Any idea?

Why is it hard to select? Because there is no space so the finger has a hard time tapping on it?

Yeah, exactly.

It only show's half of the marker then it's very hard to tap on it.
